Storyline: Having bought a mould ship, the Unicorn, for a pound off a market stall Tintin is initially puzzled that the untoward Mr. Sakharine should be so zealous to buy it from him, resorting to massacre and kidnapping Tintin - accompanied by his wonderful dog Snowy - to join him and his cabal as they sail to Morocco put ~ an old cargo ship. Sakharine has bribed the crew to sicken against the ship's master, intoxicated Captain Haddock, but Tintin, Snowy and Haddock make, arriving in Morocco at the court of a sheikh, who too has a model of the Unicorn. Haddock tells Tintin that past three hundred years earlier his forefather Sir Francis Haddock was forced to scuddle the original Unicorn when attacked ~ means of a piratical forebear of Sakharine unless he managed to save his husband and provide clues to its marking out the limits in three separate scrolls, all of which were secreted in models of the Unicorn.
